Not the cheapest tights on the market; in fact fairly expensive but for me definitely the most comfortable. Usually have to buy extra large because the waistband on most tights are so small I end up being squeezed in the middle but then have to put up with "Nora Batty" wrinkles at the ankle but these are so different and I can comfortably wear my proper size of large.

A basic teeshirt which I purchased in the dark purple. Fabric feels of good quality and if the 'stay new' lives up to its name I shall be very impressed (have not washed yet). I do appreciate the longer sleeve length which makes the top smart enough for work as well as casual wear. Body length is still generous but not so long as to be tunic-like (I'm 5'7"). Have been caught out with the fit of M&S teeshirts in the past so ordered in two sizes and my usual size was fine.

In view of other reviewers mentioning the neatness of these particular jeans I went up a size but still returned them - they are extremely small (or maybe it was just the pair I got!)

Purple ... for the young at heart

Thankfully purple is no longer just for 'old ladies' and this top is a really deep, lush purple and just the colour I needed. When wearing for the first time however I was conscious that as the bust area of this top is very defined it is probably best suited to ladies whose assets are not 'heading south' as mine are and it might not look so good (even with a good fitting bra) if the pull of gravity goes on!

Really nice cropped jeans which will be perfect should we ever get some good weather. Have had these in previous years and have not been disappointed. They wash and wear extremely well; keep their shape and are very comfortable. I find they do tend to be a fairly 'neat' fit so if between sizes and buying on-line I would suggest ordering in both sizes to try.

Unlike my fellow reviewer I am very impressed with this skirt although I would never have purchased on-line as the picture makes it look really frumpy. I came across it in the sale and love the colour and pattern. It will be very useful as a summer work skirt to wear with a variety of plain tops, navy blazer and heels. Also great with t-shirt and pumps for week-end shopping/outing and good to pop in a case for holidays. Only downside for me is that I prefer my skirts to be lined.

This was not the black skirt I had intended buying but I was so impressed with the femine style; the fact it is lined and of course the excellent sale price that I changed my mind. Will be perfect as a smart addition to my work wardrobe but also brilliant for evenings out. This is M&S at its best.

Smart but casual top

Excellent top for every occasion. Navy seems to be the 'in' colour at the moment and this top will be wonderful for work with navy skirt but equally great with jeans, linen trousers, crops or shorts. Very good fit in usual size and flattering sleeve length.

Purchased in navy and delighted to now be able to buy in grey. Invaluable addition to my wardrobe for week-end wear and for work. Washes extremely well and dries very quickly on a hanger. Good quality and so useful; more colours for next autumn please.

Light as a feather top

Lovely lightweight top for Spring. Unusual drawstring feature to one side only, which looks slightly odd on a hanger but actually is very effective once on. Good fit in my usual size although not as 'drapey' as I had imagined. Flattering neckline and sleeve length. Material is VERY thin but the all-over pattern hides a multitude and top is quite large enough to wear silky cami underneath if preferred.
